A word from the editor:

Many reviews are available on-line, but there are only a few specifically dedicated to Graduate students in a particular field. I decided to launch this journal to help 19thc Graduate students make their voice heard.

But the mission of Nexilis is two-fold: it will not only be an on-line journal where Graduate students can publish their work, it will also serve as a platform where 19th c Scholars can gather and make connections with people interested in the same authors, painters, moments in History, themes, etc.

The process of writing a thesis is a very lonely and isolating one. Let's gather here and exchange ideas, or even just discuss concerns and find reassurance.
